The Harpa Opera House concert hall and convention centre in Reykjavik opened in 2011.
Its steel framework has geometric-shaped glass panels of different colours. It is located at the old harbour and on a sunny day (it was wet-snowing when I was there) it would be stunning–reflecting both sun and water. The name is an Icelandic female first name meaning ‘harp’ (musical instrument).
